Artists in the online gallery
After the Beirut port blast, Dar Al Kalima University extended its arts outreach programme from Gaza to Beirut as Nabad, to support Lebanese artists.
Nabad needed a place where 61 artists could show and sell their work, and an audience that would come to it.
Many likely buyers were Lebanese living abroad, so the exhibition had to work online, worldwide.
We built the online gallery, made the film and ran the campaign that brought people in.
Built Arleb, a full e-commerce platform used as an online gallery for 61 artists
Kept the design black, white and grey so the artworks carry the colour
Produced an emotional film introducing Nabad
Created artist-profile content and ran campaigns aimed at Lebanese abroad
Ran the online exhibition from 2 February to 30 April 2021
More than 5 million people reached during the three-month exhibition
More than 110 artworks sold on the platform
61 artists shown to buyers worldwide
Today we would also make sure AI assistants know the artists and the gallery, so people asking where to buy Lebanese art are sent straight to it. That is Signal, working with Flow.
